Iron - is an important micronutrient that ensures the functioning of more than a hundred proteins and enzymes in a living organism. Iron (about 70%) is part of the complex protein called haemoglobin, which is a component of red blood cells. Its main function is to carry oxygen to all cells and tissues of the body. If the number of red blood cells decreases and the level of haemoglobin decreases, it can result in a lack of oxygen supply to the body.
Some of the reasons that contribute to a decrease in haemoglobin levels include iron deficiency, vitamin B12 deficiency, vitamin B9 deficiency, and vitamin C deficiency.
BioFer contains iron bisglycinate chelate, an organic form of iron that is the most easily accessible form of iron due to its chemical structure. Chelates do not require additional biochemical transformations as they are already prepared for absorption by the body. The absence of contact between the microelement and the gastrointestinal mucosa minimizes side effects.
Siberian fir cell sap is a naturally concentrated plant sap extracted from needle cells; which contains a native ratio of all active ingredients of the fir tree. It is rich in free antioxidant maltol and iron-maltol complex (a chelated form of iron that is easily absorbed by the body). Additionally, it contains vitamins C, B1, B2, provitamin A, flavonoids, and a large number of micronutrients including zinc, magnesium and manganese. It restores the levels of red blood cells, haemoglobin, and ferritin while normalizing lactic acid buildup in the bloodstream.
Chlorella is a unique superfood and an excellent source of iron. This algae is a source of vitamin C, which helps the body better absorb iron and also contains B vitamins.
Vitamin C is involved in the formation of haemoglobin in red blood cells while also enhancing the absorption of iron. It strengthens capillaries and cell membranes and is necessary for the formation of collagen, the protein of connective tissue.
Vitamins B9 and B12 are necessary for the formation of red blood cells (erythrocytes), which contain haemoglobin, an iron-containing protein that transports oxygen throughout the body.
Advantages and bioinnovation:
- 3 different highly absorbable forms of iron;
- formulation enhanced with vitamins to increase bioavailability;
- synergetic effect: one component of the complex enhances the other.
The iron bisglycinate chelate in BioFer is an organic form of iron with glycine, making it the most easily absorbed form of iron due to its chemical structure:
- chelates do not require additional biochemical transformations as they are already prepared for absorption by the body;
- chelated complexes are easily absorbed through the intestinal wall and better assimilated without disrupting the ionic and mineral balance of the cell;
- the absence of contact between the microelement and the gastrointestinal mucosa minimizes side effects.
Iron bisglycinate chelate is the only agent that effectively eliminates iron deficiency in celiac patients due to its dual absorption mechanism.
Even with increased bioavailability, iron bisglycinate chelate is safe.
Absorption is controlled by the body's iron stores, with larger amounts usually being absorbed by people with lower iron status.
The Siberian fir cell sap in BioFer is a unique source of a bioavailable iron.
It contains vitamins C, B1, B2, provitamin A and carotenoids, chlorophyll, flavonoids and a large number of micronutrients, including iron, zinc, magnesium, manganese and copper.
The valuable component is the iron-maltol complex.
Maltol is a powerful natural antioxidant that forms a special complex with iron, which is easily absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract.
In the extract, maltol is present in a complex with divalent iron and quickly enters the blood in proteins such as haemoglobin, myoglobin, and plasma.
It has bactericidal and antifungal properties.
Iron is only absorbed when the body needs it.
The natural formula prevents excess iron accumulation in tissues.
Chlorella in BioFer:
We use bio-available micronized chlorella (with an open cell wall, obtained by cell fragmentation technology).
The benefits of chlorella in BioFer:
- Chlorella contains many vitamins (A, B1, B2, B6, B7, B9, B12, E, C, K, PP) and iron.
- Chlorella is rich in vitamin C, which is necessary for iron absorption by the body.
- Chlorella is a unique source of ingredients essential for proper body function and better iron absorption.
- Chlorella increases haemoglobin levels (+5.6%), haematocrit (+6.3%), and the number of red blood cells (+4.7%).
- Chlorella cells are very rich in chlorophyll. It cleanses the blood and promotes the formation of blood cells - red blood cells - which supply oxygen to the cells of the human body.
Vitamin C in BioFer:
- takes part in the formation of haemoglobin in red blood cells, promotes the absorption of iron;
- strengthens capillaries and cell membranes;
- necessary for the formation of collagen, the protein in connective tissue.
Ascorbic acid not only converts trivalent iron into divalent iron, restoring it in chelated complexes but is also a powerful enhancer of any iron in supplements and can reverse the inhibitory effect of substances such as tea, calcium, phosphate and phytates.
Vitamin B9 and B12 in BioFer:
- It is necessary to obtain an adequate amount of B-group vitamins in order to properly absorb and use iron.
- Iron, in turn, is necessary for the proper metabolism of B-group vitamins.
Vitamins B9 and B12 are necessary for the formation of red blood cells (erythrocytes), which contain haemoglobin, an iron-containing protein that transports oxygen throughout the body.
